Registration
Most of the dancing classes start three times a year: in January, in April and in September. Some classes are only given when there is sufficient interest. Check out the time-table for the actual dancing classes. Registration is possible in three ways:
- Preferably online, go to 'registration' in the menu.
- On the open days that are organised three times a year.
- By telephone by calling the secretariat 071-5222233 (or 06-54206755) on working days from 13.30 till 16.30 hours (only when it not possible to use internet).
After receipt of your registration you will be placed into the dancing clas(ses) and a confirmation will be sent by e-mail or by mail. When there are changes or when a class is full, we will contact you as soon as possible. If the time of the class is unsuitable for you, please contact us as soon as possible. When you registrered already during the last class, you will early receive a confirmation by e-mail before the class will start. When you want to change your registration, please contact us as soon as possible by e-mail.
AfroCaribbean, Axé, Belly Dance, Dominica, Samba Solo, Solo Salseras,
StreetSalsa and Zumba are individual dances, without partner. Argeninian
Tango, Bachata, Merengue, Salsa, Samba and Zouk are partner dances. It
is not really necessary to register with a dance partner, but it will
be practical. For Argentinian Tango a dance partner is required !

Dance and pleasure play a central role for us. Therefore we try to keep the expenses for everybody as minimal as possible. See the overview below. The prices are given per person.

Payment
Course participants can remit the class fee to:
Stichting Dos Bailadores in Leiden, giro 7227455, under
indication of: first name, surname, date of birth, class(es) and day(s).
If the class fee has not been remitted before the start of the lessons,
the fee has to be payed cash on the first lesson. Only then it
will be possible to participate in the lessons. When you pay too late
we will charge you € 10,- administration costs. There
is no tenon automat!
Cancellation
A class can be cancelled 1 week before the start at the latest. In that case € 20,- cancellation costs per person will be charged. Payed class fees will be returned, after subtraction of this € 20,-. If the class fee has not been payed yet, still € 20,- cancellation costs will be charged. Classes that are cancelled later than 1 week before the start or after the start, must be fully paid.
The cancellation should be sent in written form to: Centro de Dança Dos Bailadores, Postbus 503, 2300 AM Leiden or to: info@dosbailadores.nl. You will be personally responsible that the written cancellation is received by us in a timely matter and in good condition.
Class fee will only be restituted when a class is cancelled by us due to insufficient participation. If you happen to miss a lesson, you can catch up a lesson in a parallel class in the same period, after consultation with the teacher.
Tips
- Dress advice: casual wear, comfortable and loose fitting clothes. With Zumba, StreetSalsa and Axé we advise sport clothes.
- Foot-wear: with Salsa, Samba, Tango and Zouk you can best wear shoes that fit comfortable or shoes that your wear in your daily life. Be aware that they are not too rough, for example no crepe soles. With Axé and StreetSalsa you can best wear flat shoes, dance sneakers or sport shoes.
- Most of the dancing lessons are in the evening, often after a long working day. We therefore advise you to shower (if possible) or in any case to refresh yourself and to wear clean clothes when you come to the lessons. Your dance partner will appreciate this, especially with Zouk, Tango and Salsa !
- We ask you to be 30 minutes earlier on the first lesson for payment and administration actions.
- Three times a year, before the start of the courses, an open-door trial day will be organised. On this day free lessons and dance demonstrations will be given of the different styles. In consultation with you can be decided which course level is the best for you to start with. There will also be the possibility to get information and to register for the courses. Look in the agenda for the dates.
- If you first want to have a look, you are always welcome to visit one of our dancing classes. You can also follow a trial lessons. Look in the time-table for the course times.
- Please pass on address and telephone mutations to us as soon as possible.
